Yes. We welcome children from all backgrounds. Race, creeds and abilities. Your child will be assessed and meetings will be held with parents and teachers to ensure that, your child’s needs can be accommodated effectively.
School Tour is offered to Parents after contacting the School via a phone call or email to enquire about the School.
Parents then proceed with the admission process by applying online or in person, choosing their preferred Placement Test and Interview Date after touring the School.
Admission decision will be made after the child has been tested and interviewed face to face by our admission team at the School.
Admission offer letter is then issued, Parents respond and sign admission acceptance form, provide the school with the child’s completed medical records and make a full payment of tuition by date specified in the admission offer letter.
Student is provided with Uniform, Text Books for the term and all academic materials.

Your child will automatically be enrolled at our Primary School after graduating from our Preschool at age five.
Our Primary School is aimed at children between the ages of five and eleven.
We are currently accepting children between ages
6 Weeks and 5 Years.
You are welcome to apply and secure a space for your child between the ages of five and eleven.
Be advised that, our graduate Preschoolers will always be automatically enrolled at our Primary School.
MIBS requires all children to submit a documentation of a current physical exam on an annual basis. All forms need to be signed and dated by your physician.
Yes, but a translation is requested if the records are not in English. Please be advised that not all countries have the same requirements so, you may need to provide additional information.
If your child’s immunization records are incomplete, have your paediatrician submit a signed note with a contact information stating when the remaining immunizations are scheduled. If there’s a medical reason why immunizations are not complete, we need a letter from your physician explaining the situation.
Please alert the admission team about any food allergies or dietary restrictions your child may have during your child’s admission interview.
As long as we get all the required information, any form can be used.
Your completed medical form can be emailed to admission@maryland.edu.gh
You may also hand-deliver them at the school. However, you do not need to send us the original hard copies of the forms. We recommend that you keep those for your records.
When your child is registered with the appropriate registration fee, the admission office will advice if you will be able to gain a place or inform you if your child has been placed on a waiting list for just one academic year.
An email will be sent to you 3 months prior to the beginning of your chosen academic year to confirm the status of your child’s progress in the admission process.
Yes. Our Residential Students get breakfast, lunch, dinner and Our Non-Residential Students get both breakfast and lunch daily.
Yes. Our School Bus is equipped with Child Safety Car Seat.
Yes, Parents do see our day to day operations in real time via the school’s CCTV monitoring system.

The admissions office will be happy to advise you on availability. All prospective parents and visitors are welcome to tour the school.

Our name describes who we are. Maryland International Bilingual School is a Bilingual School. We have teachers from Ghana and other parts of the world.
Yes, we do require and provide uniforms.
Entrance exam is required to help assess each child’s individual capabilities.
Our class sizes are restricted to no more than 24 in a class.
Each class has a dedicated, qualified teacher and full time teaching assistant. Our teachers and teaching assistants are CPR and First Aid certified.
Our doors open at 7:00am and close at 3:00pm.
School bus pick-up is between 5:45am and 6:45am.
School bus drop-off is between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.
Parents are allowed to choose their convenient pick-up and drop-off time based on the school bus schedule.
Yes we do offer before and after hours care.

There are two breaks for every student.
Currently, our boarding house required age is 2 years and above.
Maryland International Bilingual School offers The English National Curriculum.
Children cannot be left without competent supervision at any time. Our supervision ratios are as follows:
There is one teacher for every four children (Infants) between ages 6 weeks old and 12 months old.
There is one teacher for every five children (Toddlers) between ages 12 months old and 36 months old.
There is one teacher for every six children (Preschoolers) between ages 36 months old and 60 months old.
Our Teachers are Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certified.
